On 5 November, ICDP participated in the webinar "Death penalty: from application to a universal moratorium", organized by Ensemble Contre le Peine de Mort (ECPM) and co-sponsored by the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in New York and the Permanent Missions of Belgium, France, Italy and Switzerland.
Commissioner Ivan Šimonović represented the Commission, as one of the main speakers participating in the discussion on the preparation for the upcoming vote on the resolution for a universal moratorium, which took place in mid-December at the United Nations General Assembly.
