ICDP Commissioner Michèle Duvivier participated in a mission to Kingston (Jamaica) on 5 and 6 April 2017 together with Mark Pritchard, UK Member of Parliament who represented the All Party Parliamentary Group against the Death Penalty.
Commissioner Duvivier joined the delegation in meetings with members of the Government and Opposition including Justice Minister Delroy Chuck, and Opposition Spokesman on Justice Senator Mark Golding, as well as with members of the legal fraternity, legislators, academics, NGOs and media representatives.
Commissioner Duvivier also participated in a television show on the abolition of the death penalty and the delegates participated in a panel discussion at the Faculty of Law at the West Indies University.
