ICDP expresses its deep concern over the scheduled execution of Christa Pike by the authorities of the US state of Tennessee on 30 September 2026. Ms. Pike was sentenced to death in 1996 for a murder committed the previous year, when she was 18 years old. If carried out, this would be the first execution of a woman in Tennessee in more than 200 years.
