On 9 April 2013 Talal Bin Fayez Al Shammari was executed by beheading after he was convicted of intentionally causing the deaths of three people during a car chase.
Talal Bin Fayez Al Shammari’s execution brings the number of people put to death in the Kingdom to 31 since the beginning of the year.
According to Amnesty International, in 2012 authorities carried out at least 79 executions in Saudi Arabia
