On 2 November, ICDP Commissioner Marta Santos Pais had a productive meeting with Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), Dr. Zacarias da Costa. Building upon CPLP's strong commitment to the universal abolition of the death penalty, the meeting provided an important occasion to discuss opportunities for an enhanced collaboration between ICDP and CPLP. CPLP is an international organization whose Member States are Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé e Príncipe and Timor-Leste
