Hanne Sophie Greve
Hanne Sophie Greve is a judge and Vice President of the Gulating High Court for Western Norway. She has more than 30 years profession experience and is committed to the promotion and protection of human rights.
Hanne Sophie Greve has an excellent knowledge of international law and in particular human rights law, refugee law and humanitarian law. She has served as a judge on the European Court of Human Rights and has experience as a assistant UN protection officer. Hanne Sophie Greve has been a commissioner in The United nations Commission of Experts Established Pursuant to Security Council Resolution 780 (1992) to examine and analyze information with a view to providing its conclusions on the evidence of grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and other violations of international humanitarian law committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
Hanne Sophie Greve has also paid particular attention to modern day slavery and trafficking in people. She was a member of the Council of Europe`s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA), from 2009 to 2012, and president of the group for two of these years. Hanne Sophie Greve has taught in universities and published in academic journals.
